RMI Welcome Jake Leibas as its Newest Associate Attorney

RMI is excited to welcome Jake Leibas as its newest Associate Attorney. Attorney Leibas is licensed to practice in Ohio and Indiana. Attorney Leibas will join RMI Shareholder Attorney Dustin Smith and Associate Attorney Jason Pickell in handling both Ohio and Indiana property and automobile subrogation claims.

Having served as a Summit County Prosecutor for multiple years prior to joining RMI, Jake is no stranger to the courtroom or the legal process. As a county prosecutor, Jake specialized in child neglect cases and prosecuting drug and property crimes.

Attorney Leibas brings a unique perspective to RMI and provides a wealth of legal expertise both inside and outside the courtroom. Jake’s work ethic, communication skills, and attention to detail have already made a significant impact on both RMI and our Clients.

Attorney Leibas is a 2021 graduate of the University of Akron School of Law. In law school, Jake was highly involved in leadership. He served as a 1L Representative, Vice President, and later, President of Akron Law’s Gay-Straight Law Alliance. Jake was also a member of the Akron Law Trial Team where he won the 2020 Ohio Attorney General’s Public Service Mock Trial Competition as plaintiff’s counsel.

Attorney Leibas is a 2018 graduate of Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.
