RMI Welcomes Attorney Justin Kelley, Experienced Subrogation Counsel

RMI is pleased to welcome Justin Kelley to the firm, where he will continue his subrogation practice. He brings deep experience in subrogation litigation and a strong background in the insurance industry.

For several years, Justin Kelley has been a familiar presence at property-loss site exams, representing a major insurer as in-house counsel on subrogation and insurance related losses.

Justin has more than 16 years of experience in subrogation law. He joins RMI from a Fortune 500 insurer, where he spent 13 years litigating a broad range of subrogation matters. His experience includes catastrophic property losses involving fires, explosions, and construction defects, as well as bond recoveries, employee theft, bankruptcy issues, bailments, coverage issues, auto claims, and medical payment claims.

Justin began his career in the insurance industry, spending several years as the youngest agent for a Midwestern health and life insurer. His background also includes administrative law litigation, where he represented several trade industries before administrative agencies in licensing matters.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University, magna cum laude, and a Juris Doctor from Capital University.

Justin lives in Columbus, Ohio, with his wife and four children. In his spare time, he enjoys attending his children’s events and reading books about World War I and World War II.
